Chemistry Lab
Before I go into the list of materials you need, you will need a chemistry lab. The chemistry lab is going to be your catalyst for making steel.
Carbon
The first material you will need is carbon. Carbon can be made by smelting organic on your smelter.
Argon
The next Item on the list is argon. Argon can be obtained if you travel to Glacio and collect it with your atmospheric condenser.
Iron
Lastly, you will need Iron. You can easily find hematite on the surface of Glacio. I usually mine the hematite while I am collecting the argon. Go back to your base and smelt it to make Iron.
Making Steel
The last step is to place the items in the chemistry lab and press start!
