How To Play V Rising in 5 Minutes or Less

V Rising is one of the most unique games out there and is actually pretty simple once you understand how the game works. It is like Diablo and Valheim had a baby with how the game and progression works.

For those who are new to the game and want to know some beginner's tips, then here is how to play V Rising in under 5 minutes or less.

Step 1 - Find a spot for your Castle

Finding a spot for your castle is actually not as important as you think since you can easily move it if you don't like the spot. If you started on a private server, then you can just make your castle wherever you want. If you joined a PvP server, this is when you need to be careful where you set up your base of operations.

Try to find a spot with 2 entrances since other players may wait for you to leave your base. If you have 2, there is another option for you to avoid your enemies.

Also, try to find a spot that is high up so you can drop down from any spot down below if you need to. As we said before, if you do play on a PvP server, then try to find a spot that will be the easiest to defend against raiding players.

Remember that the sun will kill you, so make sure you build walls all around so that the roof spawns on the top of your castle, this will let you have a safe haven during the day if you need to chill.

Step 2 - Understand Blood Types

Choosing your Blood Type is one of the most important aspect of this game, especially on the harder difficulty. Each Blood Type has 5 Tiers to them that depends on the percentage of the enemy that you drink from.

Obviously, 100% Blood Type is the rarest and best you can get, so the higher the percentage, the better the bonuses it gives you.

There are 10 different Blood Types that give main bonuses to your character. Frail Blood is basic and has no bonuses. Creature Blood increases your movement speed and damage reduction.

Worker Blood increases your resource yield. Brute Blood gives you life steal and 1 gear level. Rogue Blood gives you movement speed and critical strike chance.

Warrior Blood gives you extra damage on your weapons. Scholar Blood gives you extra spell power. Mutant Blood gives you increased resistances to elements. Draculin Blood gives you movement speed at night and increases damage to enemies below 30% health.

And the Blood of the Immortal is only received from defeating Dracula on Brutal Difficulty. Make sure to choose the Blood Type that will benefit what you are doing at the time.

Step 3 - Hunt down the Bosses

Once you understand how the Blood system works, you can start hunting down the bosses. Open up the boss menu and choose one of the first couple of bosses.

The first one you should fight is the white wolf. Once you track the blood, just follow the trail to the boss. Defeat the boss and drink their blood to get their reward.

On the boss list, most of them are hidden. You can only see a few of the bosses above your own gear level. Just keep defeating the bosses and unlock new crafting for better gear. This will also allow you to get better gear to go and track down the rest of the bosses. The progression system is actually very satisfying.

Keep in mind that if you are playing on a PvP server, other players can come in and take your boss kill. So make sure you are ready for anything.

If you are playing on Brutal Difficulty, you should probably prepare all sorts of potions and upgrades to defeat the bosses. You are in for a challenge.
